I recently had the laptop re-freshed by Samsung support because the Win8 install partition was messed up. Please let me know what to do next - is there a permission that needs to change. I have included the XML from the log entry below. The property indicates that the service is trying to run the following path: C:\windows\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs I have verified that the services it depends on are all running (RPC, DCOM and RPC Endpoint Mapper). Without a task scheduler there are a bunch of basic system maintenance activities If I try to start it manually it fails right away. The Task Scheduler Services fails to start. I am seeing a Critical error in my Windows System log.
